 Jobcentre Plus SPECIAL SERVICES
Main Jobcentre Plus offices will soon be in all large towns and cities and aim to help:
- more people into paid work
- employers fill their vacancies and
- give people of working age the help and support which they are entitled to if they cannot work.
People who are looking for work can also access the telephone vacancy line “Jobseeker Direct” on 0845 6060 234 (lines are open 8am – 6pm weekdays, 9am – 1pm Saturday) or the website www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk
Jobcentre Plus staff also work at NextStep, as well as having main offices in Waltham Cross and Hertford. At Waltham Cross an adviser will visit the centre once a week to provide “drop in” help for people who want to get back to work, including job search, job advice, assessing how taking a job will impact financially on the household and specialist advice for lone parents. At Bishop's Stortford, pre–booked advisory and job advice interviews are available five days a week. Appointments can be made by calling 01992 903800.
