NextStep provides flexible on-line learning programmes from within the centre, at home, at work or anywhere you can access the Internet. If you choose to learn in the centre, qualified staff will be on hand to help. We have courses for beginners to advanced learners. You don't need any experience - we'll get you started at the right level and provide the support you need. Our free online learning taster sessions give you the opportunity to see what is available, preview courses and discuss your requirements with our learning advisors.

If you are looking for course to brush up existing skills or learn new ones - these are the courses for you. You can learn about office skills and applications, email and the Internet and much more. You can also work modularly towards an ECDL qualification.
SKILLS FOR LIFE
learndirect can help you build on your existing word and number skills. We can offer you free initial assessments and courses leading to National Certificates in Numeracy and Literacy, Levels 1 & 2.
RECOGNISING YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS
Qualifications demonstrate to other people what you have achieved and can really help you get on at work. Having a qualification is a good way to show others real evidence of your skills and knowledge.
In order to achieve a qualification you will need to complete an assessment. This doesn't necessarily mean a written exam - it could be an online test taken using a computer or even a practical work-based project. NextStep will help you work out what you want to achieve and advise you accordingly.
